We are especially excited to present the album Die romantische Seele (The Romantic Soul), with music by Clara and Robert Schumann, released by the prestigious German label ARS Produktion, Seal of the Year at the International Classical Music Awards.
With Schumann’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, one of the pinnacles of the piano and orchestra repertoire, and three pieces for solo piano, the album captures the intense and profound union of two of the most important authors in the history of music. .
In this new album we wanted to fully express the strong emotional and vital connection with Robert Schumann, who has been the protagonist in our respective works throughout our lives.
Now available on all digital platforms and major record stores !!
The album was recorded last November 2019 at the Josep Carreras Auditorium in Vila-seca, after finishing a joint tour in the autumn of that year.
“It has been very nice to record with the Camera Musicae Symphony Orchestra and its principal teacher, Tomàs Grau – explains Judith -. Since we met a few years ago playing Beethoven we have established a very strong connection. Before recording we did a tour with the Schumann Concert in different venues in Spain, including the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, so when we arrived at the recording we already had a breath and a concept created. The experience was fluid, with long shots and we lived it naturally, having fun so we could make music together again.”
