Programme notes
Color is a perception caused by light when interacting with the eye, our brain and our experience. To us is more than this, we use colors to highlight the peculiarities of the objects and their impact on us, in other words, to describe the sensations that suggest us.
In the same way, the sound perception caused by music is easily associated with a particular range of color. After this correspondence, Orchestra Camera Musicae is proposing a sensorial journey thought the audition of several compositions by Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, Grieg or Britten among others, with the intention of experimenting the different scales that music invokes in each of us. This will be made possible by the 9 musicians participating in the adventure without any restrains of style. Are you ready to listen to the colors? And to look at the music?
